My kamar pain is getting worse as the belly grows and our current mattress feels too soft now. Thinking of changing it. Which type actually helped you sleep better in pregnancy?
A medium-firm mattress is definitely the best choice to support your back and hips. I used the same and slept on my left side, which really helped me stay active for my normal delivery later.
I totally understand how hard it is to get peaceful sleep when your body is growing, dear. A mattress that is too soft will make you sink and hurt your back. Try a medium-firm one, it feels like a warm hug for your aching muscles.
I honestly cannot suggest any medical mattress, but personally, a medium-firm orthopedic mattress worked wonders for my back. I also used a long C-shaped pregnancy pillow which was an absolute lifesaver.
Along with a good medium-firm mattress, make sure you are sleeping on your left side to help blood flow. Since I had thyroid issues, I was always tired, but keeping up with my doctor's advice and meds helped my sleep quality too.
Anything that lets me sleep after my midnight food cravings is a win! I found a firm mattress with a soft topper perfect. Just load up on pillows for support and you're good.
