I did two home tests and both were positive but im wondering if the test at clinic is different or more accurate. Going for my first appointment this week. Just curious what they actually do there.
Doctors mainly use a blood test for beta hcg which is more accurate and can detect earlier than urine kits. They may also do a urine test in the clinic and then an ultrasound to confirm. My gynac did the blood test to check my exact hcg level.
Usually it's the blood hcg test at clinics, more reliable than home kits. Then a scan to confirm location and heartbeat. The home kit and clinic urine test work on the same hormone, blood is just more precise.
