My gynac told me to get a scan done this week but didnt specify much and I forgot to ask properly. Theres so many types written outside the centre, im just confused which one they do in early pregnancy. First time mom here.
There are standard ultrasounds your gynac will recommend. First one to confirm, then around 12 weeks for NT scan, and the main anomaly scan at 18-22 weeks. Your doctor will schedule them. Just go for whatever scan they tell you to do.
Ultrasounds are such a beautiful way to see your little one growing! You'll typically have an early scan, then a detailed anomaly scan to check everything is okay. It’s all part of a healthy pregnancy journey. Just trust your doctor's advice.
My doctor did a few different ultrasounds throughout my pregnancy. I just went for whatever she recommended at each stage. They use them to check the baby's growth and health. I wouldn't know the exact types, but my doc knew best.
Oh, I totally panicked when my doctor first mentioned different ultrasounds! But it's totally normal. You'll have a few different ones, like an early scan to confirm, a NT scan, and then the anomaly scan around 20 weeks. Just follow what your doc says, it's all for baby's health.
I just had my 12-week scan, and my doctor mentioned the anomaly scan coming up later. It feels like there are so many! Are these all routine? I get a little anxious about each appointment. Did anyone else have lots of different types?
