I used to do yoga regularly before and want to continue now im in 2nd trimester. But honestly im scared of doing some pose that puts pressure on tummy. Can someone tell me which ones to completely avoid?
My prenatal yoga teacher avoided deep twists, lying flat on the back after the first trimester, and intense backbends or belly down poses. Anything that compresses the tummy is a no. I only did poses my doctor and trainer cleared for me.
My gynac said to avoid poses with deep abdominal twisting, inversions, and anything risking a fall or overstretching. She recommended joining a proper prenatal yoga class rather than following random videos. Breathing and gentle stretches were her green light.
Please dont follow general yoga videos in pregnancy, some poses are risky. Always do a prenatal specific class and check with your gynac first. Safety first na.
