Test came positive but its still very early, maybe 4-5 weeks. Gynac said come later for scan but i was wondering when exactly can they actually see something on ultrasound. Dont want to go too early and get tensed for nothing.
Typically, a transvaginal ultrasound can detect a gestational sac as early as 4.5 to 5 weeks from your last menstrual period. A fetal pole and heartbeat can usually be seen a bit later, around 5.5 to 6 weeks. So, around 6 weeks is when you get a good confirmation.
This is a really important question and something to discuss with your doctor. While some things can be seen very early, they might want to wait a bit to confirm viability and rule out things like ectopic pregnancy, especially if you've had complications before. Always follow your gynac's specific advice on when to do the first scan.
Umm, from what I've read and heard, they usually wait till you are around 6 weeks pregnant from your last period date. Before that, it might be too early to see much, and it can just cause more worry, na? So maybe wait till then after a positive home test.
Alhamdulillah, may Allah bless you with good news. Usually, by 6-7 weeks, the doctor can see the baby's heartbeat during an ultrasound. Before that, it might just be the sac. Just keep faith and stay positive, whatever the results. Take care.
It's understandable to want to know this as early as possible. After a positive home pregnancy test, doctors usually recommend waiting until at least 6-7 weeks of gestation from your last period to do the first ultrasound. This is when they can usually confirm a heartbeat, which is really important. Wishing you all the best.
Sweetie, don't rush into it too quickly. While a sac can be seen early, it's usually best to wait until around 6 weeks from your last period to get the first scan. That way, you're more likely to see a heartbeat, which is a much more reassuring sign. Your doctor will guide you when it's the right time.
