Just curious about this, im in my 4th month now and was reading about how baby develops. At what week does the hair actually start coming on the head? Would love to know from u all.
From what my doctor said, the fine downy hair called lanugo starts forming around the second trimester, roughly week 14 onwards. Actual scalp hair becomes more visible later. By the later scans you can sometimes even see a bit on the head.
Old wives say heartburn means a hairy baby haha, mine came out with a full mop. Hair starts growing around mid pregnancy. Whatever they are born with, it is all cute anyway yaar.
The soft body hair starts in the middle of pregnancy and scalp hair grows more in the later months. Both my babies were born with different amounts of hair, totally random. So dont expect a fixed timeline for how much they will have.
