Im in my 6th week and so curious about this. My first scan is next week and honestly i keep wondering if we will be able to hear the heartbeat already or its too early. Anyone know around which week it usually starts?
Don't stress if you don't hear it at your very first early scan. For some it shows a bit later and the doctor just calls you back. It worked out perfectly fine for me.
I heard it for the first time around 7 weeks on the scan and I literally cried. I felt like everything became real in that moment. Best sound ever honestly.
My doctor explained the heart starts forming and beating around 5 to 6 weeks, but it's usually visible on scan by 6 to 7 weeks. Sometimes it's a little later and thats normal too.
