Im 17 weeks and still havent felt anything, getting a little impatient honestly. This is my first so i have no idea what to expect. When did u all start feeling those first flutters?
Feeling the baby move is such a precious milestone, especially for those of us who have known loss. Generally, first movements, often called 'quickening,' are felt between 18 and 25 weeks for first-time mothers. It can feel like gentle flutters or bubbles. Please cherish every movement, and if you ever have concerns about less movement, always contact your doctor immediately.
Usually, first-time moms feel the baby move between 18 to 24 weeks. If it's your second pregnancy, it might be earlier, around 16 weeks, because you know what to look for. Don't panic if it's not exact, every body is different. Just make sure to tell your gynac at your next visit when you start feeling those first movements.
It's different for everyone, but generally, by 4th or 5th month, you'll start feeling something. First it's like tiny butterflies in your stomach, not very strong. Don't compare with others too much. If you're really worried, just mention it to your gynac at your next appointment. They will tell you if everything is fine.
For me, with my first baby, I started feeling very light flutters, almost like gas bubbles, around 20 weeks. It wasn't strong kicks right away, more like tiny movements. With my second, it felt a little earlier, maybe 18 weeks. Everyone's experience is different, so just be patient and enjoy the wait.
I'm in my second trimester too, and I'm so eagerly waiting for this! I keep hearing about 'flutters' and 'bubbles,' but I haven't really felt anything distinct yet, I'm around 17 weeks. Is that normal? Sometimes I get worried if I'm missing something. When did everyone else actually feel their baby move for the very first time?
Oh, the baby movements! It's like they're having a little party in there. For first-time moms, it's usually around 18-24 weeks, but with my second one, I swear I felt tiny flutters by 16 weeks, like a fish swimming! Don't stress if it's not exactly on time, every baby has their own dance schedule, and you'll know it when you feel it, trust me!
