Im 17 weeks with my first and so eager to feel that first kick. Sometimes i feel a little flutter but not sure if its baby or just gas honestly. When did u first feel ur baby move?
I felt the first little flutters around 20 weeks with my first, it was so faint I thought it was just gas haha. By 24 weeks it became clear kicks. That first moment I actually cried, it felt so real then.
My doctor said first movements, called quickening, are usually felt between 18 and 25 weeks, later if the placenta is in front. She told me once movements become regular, to start noticing the daily pattern and report if it ever drops a lot.
Once you do start feeling regular movements in the later months, keep a rough track. If you ever notice the baby moving much less than usual, dont wait, call your gynac the same day. Reduced movement always needs a check.
Im at 19 weeks and havent felt clear movements yet, just maybe tiny bubbles. Did anyone else feel it a bit late on the first baby? Trying not to worry too much.
First baby usually around 18 to 22 weeks, second time you recognise it earlier, like 16 weeks for me because I knew the feeling. Light flutters first, proper kicks come a bit later. Dont panic if its slightly later than friends.
