Im 30 weeks and at my last scan baby was still breech. MIL keeps asking why not head down yet and now im a little anxious. By which week do they usually flip?
Most babies turn head down by around 34 to 36 weeks, some a bit later. Dont panic if yours isnt by then, mine flipped quite late. The doctor checks the position closely as you near the due date.
My gynac said babies usually settle head down between 32 and 36 weeks. If its still breech closer to term, they discuss options or sometimes try to turn it. She told me there is still time even at 34 weeks, so I stopped worrying.
Mine stayed breech and didnt turn, so I had a C-section, and honestly recovery was manageable with rest. So even if baby doesnt turn, dont stress, your doctor will guide the safest way. Either path, what matters is you and baby are okay.
