Period is 4 days late and im thinking of booking a gynac appointment. But will it be too early for the doc to actually find anything this soon? Dont want to go and waste a visit if nothing shows yet.

Easiest is to do a home test after your missed period, then go to the doctor. The doctor will confirm with urine or blood test, and a scan a little later. No need to rush to the clinic on day one, give it a few days after the missed period.
I went in too early and the doctor said wait a few more days for a clear result. So learn from me na, dont go the very next day. When did you all get a confirmed result at the clinic?
Honestly I first used a cheap home kit before spending on a clinic visit. Once it was positive I booked the gynac for the blood test and first scan. Saved me a couple of extra trips and money that way.
My tracker app reminded me when to test and I did a home kit first which showed positive. Then the doctor confirmed with a blood test. The early scan a few weeks later was the real magic moment, seeing that tiny heartbeat.
Take it easy, there is a proper time for everything. A home test after your period is late usually gives the answer. Then your doctor will confirm and guide you on the first scan, no need to worry before that.
My gynac explained a blood test (beta hCG) can pick it up even a bit before a missed period. A urine test at the clinic works well around the missed period time. And usually a scan can confirm and show the heartbeat around 6 to 7 weeks.
