My period is 3 days late and the home test showed a very faint line. Im so impatient and want to confirm with a proper blood test. How early can i actually go, will it show correctly now or should i wait?
Blood test is just a few hundred rupees at most labs so not heavy on pocket. I did it after missed period instead of buying multiple kits, worked out cheaper actually. You can do it anytime of day for blood, no morning rule like urine test.
Blood test is more sensitive than the kit so it can confirm earlier. I usually tell people to wait till the missed period and then go, it saves you the false hope and repeat tests. Just walk into any lab, no fasting needed.
My doctor told me the blood test (beta hCG) can pick it up earlier than urine, around 8 to 10 days after ovulation. But she said to get it done once your period is actually missed for a clearer result. The lab gives the report same day usually.
