My home test showed a very faint line so im still not sure. Thinking of going for a blood test but dont know if its too early for it to show properly. How soon does the blood one actually pick it up?
Quick answer, blood test (beta hcg) works earlier and is more accurate than urine. If your period is just about due and u cant wait, get it done at a lab, results come same day usually.
Blood test catches it earlier than home kits yaar, usually about a week to ten days post conception. I did one when my strip was confusing and it cleared everything up fast. Any lab does it.
Blood test is the early and sure one ma, even before missed period sometimes. We trusted that over the strip in our family. But let the lab and your doctor read the value properly.
My doc said the blood beta hcg test can pick up pregnancy quite early, roughly 8-10 days after conception, earlier than the urine strip. Its more sensitive thats why. If u want an early confirmation, this is the one to ask for.
