I found out at my first dating scan around 7 weeks, two little blobs and I nearly fell off the bed haha. Usually the early ultrasound shows twins. Brace yourself for double everything, its chaos but the best kind.
My doctor said twins are usually detected on the first ultrasound, often around 6 to 8 weeks. Sometimes high hCG levels hint at it earlier. The scan is what confirms it for sure though.
