When can you take a pregnancy test at night?

My period is 3 days late and i only got the test strips today evening. Honestly i cant wait till morning, im too restless. Does testing at night give correct result or should i really hold till first urine?

Night test can give a faint or false negative if you drank a lot of water, because urine gets diluted. I always held it for a few hours or just tested in the morning. The app reminded me to do it first thing.

You can test at night but morning urine is more concentrated so it is more accurate, especially early on. If your period is well overdue, night testing usually still works fine. If it is borderline, retest with first morning sample.

I tested at night out of excitement and got a faint line, panicked, then morning test was clear positive. So night can work but morning is safer.
