I have my first scan coming up next week and im so nervous and excited at the same time. Just curious by which week the heartbeat usually shows up so i know what to expect. Anyone remember when u saw it?
I have my first scan coming up at 7 weeks, so this is reassuring to read. I was scared they wouldnt find it. Did they make you do an internal scan or the belly one?
My gynac told me the heartbeat usually becomes visible on ultrasound around 6 to 7 weeks. Sometimes if it's too early you cant see it and they call you back in a week. So dont panic if the first scan doesnt show it clearly.
In my IVF journey we watched for the heartbeat so closely, it appeared around the 6 and a half week scan for me. If yours isnt seen right away please dont lose hope, dates can be slightly off. That first flutter on screen is so emotional, I still remember it.
