I have my first scan coming up next week and im praying we hear the heartbeat. Just wanted to know around which week does the heart start beating. Getting too eager honestly.
I remember holding my breath at that scan waiting to see the heartbeat, it is such an emotional moment. It typically shows around the 6th to 7th week. If its a little early, they often ask you to wait and rescan, so try to be patient, i know its hard.
I was so anxious before my first scan wondering if we would see the heartbeat. Did others get nervous too? Mine showed at almost 7 weeks and i finally breathed.
My gynac said the heartbeat usually starts to be detectable on scan around 6 to 7 weeks. At my earlier scan it wasnt visible yet and she just asked me to come back in a week or so, and then we saw it. So dont panic if its not seen at the very first scan.
