Test came positive yesterday and im so happy but also confused about the timeline. My cycles are a bit irregular so i honestly cant figure out which date it actually happened. How did u all calculate this, do they tell you at the first scan?
Same confusion I had! So the weeks are counted from last period but you actually conceive about two weeks later. Felt weird at first but the scan made it clear for me.
I used a tracker app, you put last period date and it estimates conception around ovulation. Its an estimate though, not exact. The dating scan corrected my date by a few days actually.
Beta dont stress on the exact day. Just remember your last period date for the doctor, and the ultrasound will give the proper week count. Thats all you need right now.
My doc counts the due date from the first day of last period, but actual conception is usually around 2 weeks after that, near ovulation. So the date doctors use and the real conceiving date are a bit different. Best is to let the scan give the accurate timing.
Don't try to pin one exact day, its hard. Note your last period start date and tell the gynac, the early ultrasound will date it properly. That number is the reliable one.
