Im in my third trimester and noticed some yellowish liquid coming, got surprised that it starts before delivery itself. When does this usually begin for most? just want to know its normal.
I just delivered recently and honestly the real milk took about two to three days to come in fully. Before that it was the thick yellow colostrum which is so good for the baby. Dont worry if it feels slow at first.
My doctor explained the body starts preparing colostrum from around the second trimester, even if you dont see it. Some leak a bit late in pregnancy, some dont, both normal. Proper milk flow establishes after the baby arrives.
The first milk, colostrum, actually starts forming in the later months of pregnancy itself. I noticed a little leaking in my third trimester. The full milk really comes in a couple of days after delivery though.
