I just delivered my baby last month, and I remember that breast pain clearly. It got much better after the 11th week, but then a different kind of heaviness came in the 9th month as milk started preparing. It's all part of the process!
I felt so much pain in my breasts during the first trimester, even wearing a soft bra was painful. For me, the pain went away around the 13th week. I felt such a huge relief when the second trimester started!
With my PCOS, hormone fluctuations were already wild, so the breast pain was quite bad. It usually settles down after the first trimester as your hormones stabilize. Just wear comfortable, non-wired cotton bras.
They usually stop hurting by the end of the first trimester. Don't waste money buying expensive creams or fancy maternity bras too early, just buy a size larger, cheap cotton sports bra which you can use later too.
Oh, mine hurt so much in the first trimester that I was constantly googling if something was wrong! It finally stopped around week 12, but then I started worrying why it stopped, haha. It's totally normal, don't worry!
For most women, breast tenderness subsides significantly by the start of the second trimester around week 13 or 14. However, everyone's body reacts differently to hormonal changes, so do check with your doctor if the pain is severe.
