Home test came positive and im so excited but also want it confirmed properly. At what point does the doctor actually confirm it, do i go now or wait a bit? first time so totally clueless.
I went too early at like 4 weeks and the scan couldnt show much, I got so worried. Doctor said come back in 2 weeks and then we saw the heartbeat. So dont panic if first scan is too soon.
After a positive home test, go to the gynac, they usually do a blood test and then a scan in a few weeks to confirm heartbeat and dates. Dont expect everything in the first visit, the scan comes a little later.
My doctor confirmed first with a blood beta hcg test, and then properly with an ultrasound around 6-7 weeks where they could see the heartbeat. The home kit is just the first hint. Scan is the real confirmation.
I was so eager to confirm, but my gynac said the early scan needs a few weeks to show the baby clearly. So home test, then blood test, then scan. Patience lagti hai but its worth the wait.
