Honestly im crying one minute and snapping at my husband the next, and we just got the BFP last week. Curious if these mood swings start this early or pick up later in which trimester. Pls share when it hit u the most.
Honestly, they can start right from the first few weeks due to sudden hormonal surges. My doctor told me they usually peak in the first trimester, stabilize a bit, and can return in the third. Do discuss with your gynac if you feel too overwhelmed though.
Listen, it starts from day one and can last till delivery! With both my kids, I was crying at simple TV ads for no reason. Just tell your husband to be patient and keep some of your favorite snacks ready.
According to my pregnancy tracker apps, mood swings are most common between weeks 6 to 10 and then again near the end. It really helped me prepare my husband beforehand by showing him the weekly updates on my phone.
Beta, it is completely normal to feel angry one minute and crying the next. The hormones do this to us, so don't feel guilty. Take deep breaths and rest as much as you can, okay?
Mood swings are fine but if you feel very low or depressed constantly, please check with your gynac. Sometimes thyroid or other hormonal imbalances can also cause extreme mood changes, so safety first.
Having PCOS made my hormones a mess anyway, so when I got pregnant, mood swings hit me very early in the first month itself. It gets better as the body adjusts, just be very gentle with yourself.
