My doctor started my NST around the third trimester, roughly after 32 weeks in my case. It is the non stress test that checks baby heartbeat and movement. She said timing can vary depending on your pregnancy, so they decide per patient.
My app had reminded me NST usually comes in the third trimester and my doctor confirmed it around 33 weeks. It is just a heartbeat monitoring test, quite relaxing actually. Your doctor sets the schedule based on your case.
I am only in second trimester so haven't reached this yet. Reading this just to be prepared honestly. So it is usually a later thing and not painful, that makes me feel better.
For me NST began in the last couple of months, usually weekly towards the end. It is simple, you just sit with a belt and they record baby's heartbeat. Nothing painful at all, don't worry.
