My baby is 4 months now and mine just came back last week, took me by surprise honestly. Everyone is different. With formula feeding it usually comes sooner I heard.
It can range from 6 weeks to many months, mostly depending on feeding. If you get very heavy bleeding or its been very long, just mention it to your gynac at a check up. And remember you can conceive even before the first period returns.
It depends fully on breastfeeding. With my first I exclusively fed and got periods late, with the second it came back in 3 months. Both normal, dont compare.
When I was fully breastfeeding my periods didnt come back for almost 8 months. It really varies with feeding. Once I started reducing feeds it returned, so dont worry if its taking time.
