Newly pregnant and trying to understand how many scans i'll need and roughly when. My doc mentioned a few but i lost track. Can someone tell me the usual timeline?
My gynac scheduled a dating scan early, then the NT scan around 11 to 13 weeks, the anomaly scan around 18 to 20 weeks, and growth scans later. There may be a couple extra depending on your case. She explained each one clearly which really helped.
I planned my budget around the main scans since each costs a bit. The anomaly scan is the important detailed one, dont skip that. Ask your gynac upfront how many to expect so you can plan the expenses.
My app listed all the standard scans by week and I just matched them with my doctor's plan. Dating, NT, anomaly and growth scans were the main ones for me. It was nice knowing what to expect each visit.
