When do your feet start to swell during pregnancy?
Im around 26 weeks and my feet still look normal but everyone keeps warning me it will happen soon. Just curious when it usually starts for most of u? Want to be ready na.
Usually, it starts around the late second or third trimester when you are sitting or standing for long hours at work. I used to keep a small stool under my office desk to keep my feet elevated. Try not to sit cross-legged for too long to avoid fluid buildup.
For me, it started around the 6th month when my shoes suddenly stopped fitting! Elevating your feet on a pillow while sleeping helps a lot. Just relax and enjoy this phase!
I noticed my feet swelling around the 7th month, and because of my thyroid history, my doctor made sure we monitored all symptoms closely. Keep up with your routine checkups and blood tests so the doctor can track if it's just normal water retention.
It generally kicks in during the third trimester, around 7th or 8th month. Don't worry, just reduce salt a bit, keep walking, and put your feet up whenever you get a break. If it gets too painful or uneven, just show it to your doctor.
I am in my 24th week and my feet have already started feeling so heavy and tight by evening. Is it normal to get swelling this early, or should I be doing some warm water foot soaks?
Foot swelling can be normal in the third trimester, but you must check with your gynac to ensure your blood pressure is fine. Sometimes sudden swelling is a sign of high BP, so please don't ignore it and get it checked.
