Im in my 5th month and just curious by when the baby starts getting hair. They say if u get heartburn baby has more hair, dont know how true that is haha. When did urs develop?
The baby's hair actually starts developing around the 5th month of pregnancy. I remember reading about it when I was resting post my C-section. It's amazing how much they grow and change in those few months!
Scientifically, hair follicles start forming around 14 weeks, and by week 20, fine hair called lanugo covers their body. My doctor mentioned that scalp hair also starts growing around this time. It's a key part of their development in the second trimester.
From my experience, baby hair starts developing around the second trimester, around 18-20 weeks. My baby was born with a full head of thick hair, and I had terrible acidity, though my doctor said they aren't related. It's a wonderful phase, enjoy it.
I totally understand that sweet feeling of imagining your little one's soft baby hair! They start growing those fine hairs around the 5th month of pregnancy. It is so beautiful to think about them growing safely inside you right now.
Haha, my twins were born with completely different hair, one was bald and one had so much hair! Their hair starts growing around the 20th week in the womb. Don't worry about the myths, just focus on keeping yourself healthy.
Usually, the baby's hair follicles start forming around the 14th week, and proper hair starts growing around the 20th week of pregnancy. It's such a sweet milestone to think about! Don't believe those old myths about heartburn meaning a hairy baby, though!
