Im 33 weeks and at my last visit doc said baby is still not in head down position. Trying not to panic but obviously a bit worried. By when does the head usually come down? pls share ur experience.
Mine came down only at 38 weeks, before that doctor kept saying head is still up. I could literally feel the pressure low down once it dropped. So fresh in memory, it really felt different.
My doctor explained that engagement, when the head settles into the pelvis, often happens in the last few weeks, sometimes 34 to 38 weeks. For second babies it can happen later or even during labour she said. They mark it in the file as a number out of five.
Usually around 36 weeks onwards the head starts going down, but for some it is just before labour. Both my deliveries were different actually. Your gynac checks this in the last scans, so don't worry.
My amma kept saying I will feel lighter once baby drops and she was right, breathing got easier. But for the exact timing trust your scans and gynac. Everybody is different na.
Don't count days too much for this, baby knows when to settle. Just go for your regular checkups and the doctor will tell you. It happens at the right time.
