Have my first scan coming up next week and im so anxious to hear the heartbeat. Im about 7 weeks now. From which week is it usually picked up? hoping we hear it this time.
I was so anxious before my first scan, kept googling everything. Did anyone else not see heartbeat at the very first early scan and then it appeared later? Mine showed at the next visit and I finally breathed.
I will never forget hearing that little heartbeat on the scan, I felt my own heart melt. For me it showed around 6 to 7 weeks. The wait till that scan was the hardest, but it was so worth it.
My gynac said the heartbeat usually becomes visible on ultrasound around 6 weeks, sometimes a touch later. She told me not to panic if it is not seen at 5 weeks, dates can be slightly off. A repeat scan often clears it up.
