Got my bfp last week and the wait for my first scan is making me anxious. Read a little about ectopic and got scared. Im a bit spotty right now so want to understand at what point bleeding shows in such cases. will definitely ask my gynac too.
Please dont try to time or self diagnose this one. Ectopic can show as bleeding with one sided sharp pain, often early on, and it can be serious. If you have any such pain or bleeding, go to the doctor or hospital right away, dont wait.
This is really something only a scan can confirm. Any unusual bleeding or strong pain on one side in early pregnancy needs an immediate gynac visit. Better to rush and be safe than guess at home.
My doctor told me ectopic often shows up in the early weeks, sometimes with spotting and a sharp pain on one side. The only sure way is an ultrasound and beta hCG. If anything feels off, get checked urgently, dont rely on timing alone.
I dont want to scare you, but this is one thing where you shouldnt wait at home. If you have bleeding with cramping pain early on, just go get a scan. Take care of yourself ok.
