Im 35 weeks now and getting a little anxious about how i will even know its starting. First baby so i have zero idea what the real pain feels like vs the practice ones. Around which week did it begin for you all?
Im 38 weeks and asking the same thing every single day lol. They say from 37 onwards but this baby is clearly enjoying the rent free stay. Apparently the real pains come in waves you cant ignore, still waiting to find out myself.
For most it starts around 37 to 40 weeks, but it really varies. Mine started at 39 weeks with mild cramps that slowly got stronger and closer together. Everyone's body picks its own time, so dont count days too strictly.
True labour usually comes near your due date, anywhere from week 37 onwards is considered full term. First baby came at 40 weeks for me, second at 38. The real ones come in a rhythm and dont stop when you walk around, thats how you know.
Most start near the due date beta, around week 38-40, and it builds up slowly so you will know. Keep your hospital bag ready by week 36 just to be relaxed. And anytime you feel something strange, just ring your doctor, no shame in checking.
It typically starts after 37 weeks, but if you get strong regular pains, bleeding or water leaking before that, please go to the hospital right away dont wait. Mine started early and the doctor needed to monitor closely. Always call your gynac when in doubt.
