Noticed a faint dark line coming up on my belly and im 4 months now. Just wondering when this usually shows up and if its normal already at this stage. anyone else got it around now?
My app mentioned the linea nigra around mid pregnancy and sure enough mine appeared then. It's super common, nothing to treat. Sun protection on the belly can stop it darkening too much apparently.
Mine showed up around the second trimester, that dark line down the belly. It's totally normal, just hormones and the skin pigment. It faded slowly months after delivery for me, so dont worry about it.
Usually appears in the second trimester for most women, sometimes earlier. It's harmless, just pigmentation from the hormones. It fades on its own after delivery, no cream needed.
