I'm curious about the changes my body will go through for breastfeeding. At what point during pregnancy does milk production usually begin, or when can I expect to notice changes related to it?
It's such a beautiful process. You might leak a tiny bit of colostrum in the 3rd trimester, but don't feel stressed if nothing comes till baby is born.
My lactation consultant at the hospital told me not to expect milk during pregnancy itself. It starts properly only 48-72 hours post-delivery, they help you latch.
Currently 35 weeks and my bras are leaking random yellow stuff, but my gynac said real milk only shows up after baby is out. Breast pads are my new best friends!
