Im in my 7th month and noticed a tiny bit of leaking from my breast few days back. Got a little surprised and wondering if its too early or normal at this stage. Anyone else?
It usually starts in the third trimester, around the 7th or 8th month. Don't worry, just buy some washable cotton breast pads from Amazon, they are very cheap and work perfectly to stop stains.
Beta, this is completely normal and means your body is preparing milk for the baby. Don't squeeze or press the breasts to get more milk out, as that can cause contractions. Just wash with warm water and keep them clean.
At my hospital prenatal class, they told us that leaking colostrum can start as early as the 16th week for some women, while for others it doesn't happen until birth. If you have any concerns about breast changes, definitely ask your doctor or lactation consultant at the clinic.
