Got a bit confused with the counting, like does it start from my last period or from conception? Trying to figure out my due date roughly. Can someone explain how the nine months are counted?
The counting starts from your last menstrual period date, not from conception. Thats why it ends up being around 40 weeks. Dont stress over the exact month, just track the weeks like the doctor does.
Doctors actually count pregnancy in weeks from your last period, which works out to about 40 weeks, a bit more than 9 calendar months. So the count starts from the first day of your last period, even though conception was a couple weeks after. My gynac explained this clearly because it confused me too.
