Just got my positive result, im around 5 weeks i think. No vomiting yet but a bit of nausea. From which week does the proper vomiting usually start? kind of nervous about it tbh.
I panicked so much when my nausea started around week 6 because I couldn't keep anything down. But my doctor assured me it's just the pregnancy hormones peaking. It usually starts between weeks 6 and 9 and gets much better by the second trimester, so please hang in there!
Generally, morning sickness and vomiting kick in around the 6th week when hCG levels rise rapidly. However, some lucky women don't vomit at all! Just keep an eye out—if you can't retain even water and feel extremely dizzy, let your gynac know to prevent dehydration.
Hey, don't stress too much if you haven't started vomiting yet, some people never do and it's totally normal! For those who do, it usually starts around week 6. Just enjoy the peaceful days while they last, trust me!
I felt so miserable during my first trimester because my vomiting started quite early, around week 5 itself. I felt like I was failing to nourish my baby because I was throwing up everything, but my gynac comforted me that baby is safe.
After my long IVF journey, I was waiting for every pregnancy symptom. My nausea and throwing up started around week 6. Please be gentle with yourself, eat whatever you can manage, and take it one day at a time.
For me, it started exactly at week 7 and lasted till week 14. I just delivered recently, and looking back, having small ginger candies and dry toast really helped me survive those early morning vomiting sessions.
I totally understand how difficult and exhausting this phase can be, sweetie. For most of us, it starts around the 1.5-month mark. Just remember this is temporary, and very soon you will hold your beautiful baby in your arms.
