I read somewhere that the babys organs form in a very specific early window and now im worried because i took some cold medicine before i knew i was pregnant. Just trying to understand when this stage happens.
My pregnancy app showed it week by week, the organs form really early, like by the end of first trimester most are in place. It was actually fascinating to follow. Folic acid in this stage matters a lot, thats what every source said.
Its the early stage, basically the first trimester, when all the major organs are taking shape. Thats why first three months they say be careful with food, meds and infections. Nothing for you to do special except follow your doc and take folic acid.
I got a bit anxious reading about this phase because i didnt even know i was pregnant for the first few weeks. Did anyone else feel that guilt? My doc reassured me as long as i was eating ok and not on bad meds, it was fine.
My gynac explained organogenesis is when baby organs form, mostly in the first trimester roughly weeks 5 to 10. Thats why she was strict about no random medicines and taking folic acid in those early weeks. Its a really important phase.
