Just crossed second trimester and feeling this odd pressure down in my pelvic area. Not severe but i notice it when i stand up. Is it normal at this stage or does it usually come later?
It really varies a lot, but for many, some mild pelvic discomfort starts around the second trimester. As your uterus grows and ligaments stretch, it's normal to feel some pressure or dull aches. Towards the end, with the baby dropping, it can feel more intense, almost like heaviness. Listen to your body and rest when you need to.
Oh my god, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and I literally feel like my pelvis is splitting in half sometimes! Is that normal? It started properly for me around 20-22 weeks, just a dull ache, but now it's like a constant pressure. What kind of pain are you feeling?
Pelvic pain can begin fairly early for some, even in the first trimester, due to the stretching of ligaments as the uterus expands. For others, it becomes more noticeable in the second or third trimester as the baby gets bigger and puts more pressure on the pelvis and bladder. It's usually mild, but any sharp or persistent pain should be discussed with your gynac.
Pelvic pain can start at different times for everyone, but sometimes even mild discomfort can be a worry. If you feel any unusual or sharp pain, or if it comes with spotting or bleeding, please, please call your doctor immediately. It's always better to get things checked for reassurance. Stay safe, dear.
During pregnancy, our bodies go through so much, and pelvic pain can definitely be one of those things. For me, it was more towards the second and third trimester as the baby grew and put more pressure. After my C-section, I had different kinds of pain, but during pregnancy, it was mostly just general heaviness. Take it easy, wear supportive clothes.
Pelvic pain? Beta, it starts when you get pregnant and lasts till, like, forever! Just kidding! Mostly it starts in the second or third trimester when your body is expanding like a balloon and making space for the little human. It's your body's way of saying, 'Okay, we're doing some serious construction work here!' A warm bath helps sometimes! 😉
