When does sleeping become uncomfortable during pregnancy?
I am only in the middle months and already turning sides at night feels annoying. Pillow jugaad helps thoda but I still wake up many times. When did sleep become difficult for you all?
I felt like sleeping became really uncomfortable around my second trimester, maybe 20-22 weeks? Before that, it was fine, but then suddenly my tummy started showing more, and no position felt right. The pressure on my bladder didn't help either. It was such a struggle to find a good spot, I used so many pillows!
Sleeping became quite uncomfortable for me from the late second trimester, especially with gestational diabetes. I had to be super careful with my diet, which also affected my sleep sometimes. My doctor always emphasized managing blood sugar well for better sleep. Always talk to your gynac if it's really disturbing your rest.
For me, the discomfort started in the second trimester, but it really picked up in the third. I had thyroid issues during pregnancy, so my doc kept a close eye on everything, including my sleep patterns. If you're struggling, definitely mention it during your regular check-ups, they might have specific advice based on your health.
Honestly, it starts pretty early for some, by the end of the first trimester you might feel it. But the real discomfort usually kicks in during the third trimester when the bump is huge. You just can't find a comfy position. Get a good pregnancy pillow, seriously.
Oh honey, it's like a fun game of 'find the comfy position' from the second trimester onwards! 😂 Especially by the third trimester, you'll be using like 5 pillows. But it's all part of the journey, just embrace the waddle and the pillow fort! It gets better after baby arrives. ✨
