Im 33 weeks and honestly thoda nervous about this whole thing. Does it always happen on its own before labour or sometimes doc has to do it? Just want to know what to expect na, pls share if it happened to u.
It is such a scary phase and I completely understand being cautious about every small sign. Usually it happens near the end of the third trimester, but if you feel even a little bit of leaking earlier, please don't wait and contact your doctor immediately. Safety first, always listen to your body.
Honestly, it varies for everyone. For me, my gynac said I could continue light prenatal yoga and walking only because everything was normal, but warned that if water leaks anytime, I must stop immediately and rush to the clinic. Definitely ask your doctor what's safe for u based on your week.
I totally get why you are asking this, it used to give me so much stress thinking what if it happens in public! For most women it happens close to the due date or during active labor. Please don't stress, just keep your gynac's number on speed dial and call them if you feel any sudden wetness.
Oh god, I was literally hogging on some hot samosas when my friend told me her water broke out of nowhere! Usually it happens right before labor or during it, around the 39th or 40th week. Just enjoy your food and keep your hospital bag ready just in case!
For me, my water broke right on my bed at 3am in the 38th week, totally unexpected. I didn't even have pains before that, but we immediately called the gynac and rushed to the hospital. Every pregnancy is so different, so it's always best to ask your doctor how to identify it.
