My test came positive 4 days back and im so eager to see something on screen. Gynac gave me a date but it felt too far away to me. From which week does the scan actually show the baby?
I went in too early at like 5 weeks, saw nothing and totally spiralled. Turned out it was just early. Please dont panic if the first scan is too soon, give it a week or two.
My doctor waited till about 7 weeks for a clearer picture and heartbeat. Family kept asking but I trusted her timing. The wait was worth it for that lovely first sight.
My gynac said a transvaginal scan can usually spot the sac from around 5 to 6 weeks, and the heartbeat near 6 to 7 weeks. Earlier than that it may show nothing even if you're pregnant. So she asked me not to scan too early and worry needlessly.
