First time pregnant and im just trying to understand what to expect month by month. Havent really noticed much discharge yet at 6 weeks, so wondering when it usually picks up. Just curious, not worried.
Mine started showing more in second trimester and I was wondering if that was late. Did it start earlier for you all? My doctor said timing varies, but any colour or smell change should be reported.
It usually starts early on na, the body produces more discharge to protect things. As long as it is white and not irritating, it is just a normal part of pregnancy.
It can begin from very early in pregnancy and often becomes more noticeable as weeks go on, that is hormonal. Watch only for changes in colour, smell or itching, those need a doctor.
For most women it increases from early pregnancy itself, like first few weeks, and continues throughout. Thin, milky and odourless is normal. If it smells bad, itches or is coloured, then get it checked.
In my case I noticed more discharge quite early, even before I confirmed. I felt a bit unsure but doctor said it is normal due to hormones. It stayed with me almost the whole pregnancy.
