When does your nose get sensitive during pregnancy?
Suddenly har smell is bothering me so much, even my own kitchen ka khana, and I feel like throwing up. Im around 6 weeks. Is this normal and kab tak rehta hai? when did it start for u?
For me, it started very early around week 6, and suddenly I couldn't stand the smell of tadka. Since I have PCOS, I was extra anxious about every symptom, but my doctor said a sensitive nose is very common due to estrogen.
Even I am hoping to conceive soon, and I keep checking if my sense of smell has changed! I've read it can happen as early as a few days after implantation. Has anyone else felt it before their missed period?
My nose got sensitive around week 6 and lasted almost till my delivery. After my C-section, it slowly went back to normal. Just try to keep some fresh lemon or mint nearby to sniff when smells get too bothering.
I recently delivered, and I remember my nose became super sensitive by week 5. The smell of cooking oil was my absolute enemy back then. It does get better as you enter the second trimester, hang in there!
Oh my God, in my first trimester, the smell of our fridge literally made me cry! I kept overthinking if something was wrong with me or my house. But it's just the high hormone levels, completely normal!
Haha, you basically become a human sniffer dog in the first trimester! For me, even the smell of my husband's perfume made me want to run away. It usually peaks around week 8 or 9, so get ready to hold your nose!
Ghar pe when I was staying with my mom, she had to stop putting strong tadka in the kitchen because even from the bedroom I could smell it in week 7. It's very common, so just ask your family to avoid strong smells for a while.
With twins, my hormones were double, so my nose was like a radar from week 4 itself! I could smell what my neighbor was cooking from miles away, haha. It's totally normal, just keep onion-garlic away from you if it triggers nausea.
It is just those early pregnancy hormones peaking in the first few weeks. I had a normal delivery and had a very sensitive nose till the 4th month. Just stay positive, keep your room ventilated, and take care.
