I asked my doctor about this because I didn't have any cravings even by week 14. She explained that cravings are mostly hormonal and usually start in the late first trimester, peaking in the second. She also said it's perfectly fine if you don't get them at all, so don't worry about it.

My mother-in-law told me that cravings start in the second trimester and means the baby wants that food, but my doctor said it is just hormonal changes. Generally, cravings start around the 11th or 12th week of pregnancy when your hormones begin to peak. Some women get them earlier, while some don't have any cravings at all, which is also totally normal. Just make sure you are eating a balanced diet alongside whatever you crave.
