In my hospital, the doctors always advise waiting until at least one day after your missed period before doing a home test. If you are anxious, you can always call your hospital lab to schedule a blood beta-hCG test, which is much quicker and more accurate.
Honestly, wait for a missed period and then test. But if you have irregular periods or weird symptoms, please call your gynac to ask when you should test or get a blood check. They will give you the safest timeline.

Oh I used to test like 5 days before my period and then drive myself crazy looking at invisible lines! Please don't do that, wait till the day of your missed period so you get a proper clear result and don't stress yourself out.
