My gynac mentioned internal os in my last scan report and honestly i didnt fully understand it. Trying to figure out at what stage it normally starts to open. Anyone who knows pls explain in simple words.
From what my doctor told me, the internal os normally stays closed through pregnancy and only starts opening near labour. They check it on scans, and if it opens too early they monitor it closely. This is really something your gynac tracks for you.
Normally it stays closed and opens around delivery time. Anything about the cervix or os is best assessed by your doctor on ultrasound. Dont rely on internet for this one.
In my case there was an early opening concern and the doctor watched it carefully with scans. It is not something to guess about at home. Please follow your gynac, they will tell you exactly from your reports.
