When is a pregnancy confirmed?

Home test showed two lines but one was faint, so im not fully sure yet. At what point is it actually confirmed properly, blood test or scan? first time so dont know the process.

My doctor said a urine test after a missed period gives a good indication, blood beta hCG confirms it earlier and clearly. But the real confirmation is the early ultrasound showing the sac and heartbeat. So it is usually a couple of steps, not just one.

Kit gives a hint, but the scan with heartbeat is the real confirmation.

Home kit first, then the gynac confirms with blood test and an early scan. The scan around 6 to 7 weeks showing the heartbeat is the proper confirmation. Dont rely only on the strip, go in and get it confirmed properly.
