Home test gave a faint line so im planning a blood test. But im only like 10 days late, will it even show correctly this early or should i wait thoda more?
Actually, the blood test is very accurate even a few days before your missed period. When I went for mine, they also checked my TSH levels because of my thyroid history. I highly recommend visiting your doctor regularly so they can monitor both your pregnancy and thyroid levels from day one.
I completely understand how stressful the waiting period is, I used to check my calendar every hour! Honestly, a blood test is highly accurate about a week to 10 days after ovulation. Try to keep yourself distracted and busy, and call your clinic to schedule it when the time is right.
In my case, I waited until 3 days after my missed period to do the blood test because I wanted to be 100% sure. My doctor had advised me that testing too early can sometimes show low levels which causes unnecessary stress. It worked out perfectly for me to just wait a bit.
After going through IVF, I know how heavy each day of waiting feels. Typically, the beta hCG blood test is very reliable 9 to 14 days after embryo transfer or ovulation. Sending you so much love and hoping u get a beautiful positive report very soon.
A blood test is usually accurate around 11 to 14 days after conception, or even a day or two before your missed period. It is much more sensitive than home urine tests because it measures the exact beta hCG level. If you are in doubt, just get a prescription from your doctor and get it done.
