Getting a little confused with all the week counting. At how many weeks is the baby considered full term and safe for delivery? My due date is close so just want to understand properly.
My doc explained full term is 39 to 40 weeks, but anything from 37 weeks is considered term. Before 37 is preterm and 41 plus is post term. The due date is just an estimate, very few babies arrive exactly on it.
Around 40 weeks is the full term, counted from your last period. Both my babies came around 38-39 weeks, totally normal. Dont fix your mind on the exact due date, anytime from 37 weeks is fine.
I am at 38 weeks and counting every single day, full term cant come fast enough, haha. They told me 40 is the magic number but baby decides the real date. My bag is packed and waiting.
