Im 38 weeks and my gynac casually mentioned induction at the last visit, now its all I think about. dont fully get when they decide to do it. anyone who got induced, at what point did doc suggest it?
Look, induction is done either when you cross 40-41 weeks or if there's a medical reason like low amniotic fluid or high BP. In my case, we had to plan it because of office leave deadlines and my rising BP. It's very common, just discuss the plan clearly with your doctor to manage your schedule.
I am currently in my 22nd week and honestly, the thought of induction scares me so much! Do doctors do it only in emergencies or is it common for overdue babies too? Would love to know if other first-timers are also overthinking this.
I was so scared when my gynac mentioned induction because I hit 40 weeks and baby was not coming. I felt so emotional and kept crying thinking my body failed, but actually the induction process went smoothly and I held my healthy baby. It is usually done if you go past your due date.
I can only share what happened with me, my water broke slightly but I didn't get labor pains, so the doctor started a drip to induce me. Every pregnancy is different, so it's always best to let your doctor decide when it's safe for you.
I am currently planning my pregnancy and reading up on all this. Is induction very painful compared to natural labor? It's so interesting to see how doctors decide the timing of delivery, hope to learn more from experienced moms here.
Haan na, jab baby apne aap bahar aane ka naam nahi leta tab doctor induce karte hain. Meri sister ka 41 weeks ho gaya tha toh doctor ne pain shuru karne ke liye medicine di thi. Tension mat lo, hospital me sab ache se handle ho jata hai.
